Lovers, Jesse Kivel and Zinzi Edmundson are Kisses, a beautiful loungy lo-fi pop twosome from LA. If you’ve had enough of chillwave-y drone by this point, Kisses is a nice tempting alternative. Jesse’s style of vocals are almost akin to Dan Whitford of Cut Copy fame – calming, subdued crooning.

Bermuda is a beautiful introduction to Kisses’ sound, upbeat and yet laidback at the same time. Romantic slow-dancing to the dreamy reverb guitars, bongos and  tropical synth notes. But my personal favorite has to be the recently released, People Do The Most Amazing Things. Such simple guitar riffs, but they’ve got the athmosphere right and the vocals really make the song. And I really love the mellow synths. It’s so satisfying.
