No ANBAD Donkey Antics this week. There just wasn’t time. Instead, here is a ‘greatest hits’ blast-from-the-past picture.
A poor show, yes – but here’s four genuinely fabulous bands to compensate, one of whom sounds a bit like The Killers. Of course, being the consummate professional, I will entirely gloss over such a glaringly glib comparison.
Brandon Flowers is the lead singer of the popular alt rock band The Killers. Feel like that band is probably the next U2 or something, probably a ways ahead of the Arcade Fire for ‘the most popular mainstream band that people like 2 pretend is alt.’
N e ways, seems like that bro went solo, and made some music video. Pretty boring song, boring video. Not sure who this appeals to, but imagine people who are really into the Killers ‘talking themselves into this artsy solo project.’ Charlize Theron is in the video, probably to appeal to international / South African audiences. Song is too boring to make the video ‘even remotely interesting.’ Feel like even the quality of this post was ‘compromised’ because of the quality of the video/song, but just wanted to share this lame experience with yall.

There are four bands due to play tonight, which even at an early stage makes me fearful about whether or not I’ll be able to catch the headliners.
We start off with Kaiko, who are one syllable away from the greatest band that ever existed. Sadly they bear no resemblance to the former pride of Norwich. Good news for them then, that they do rather resemble Coldplay.
