MGMT news

Angry crowd throws shoes at MGMT bc they are still angry abt their second album

I just watched this clip of MGMT playing at some show, then one of the non-famous band members is all like "Give us ur left shoe." Then the crowd responds by pelting the entire band with shoes for a few minutes. I really wish I could have been there to have an opportunity to throw stuff at them. I feel really bitter, like I haven’t let go of their sophomore album flop. It’s been a while, but watching this brought back dark memories of the buzz drought of 2k10. Would have thrown my rapegaze combat boot right at Andrew VanBroGarden’s face.

Mgmt Working

MGMT, who recently played their largest headlining show anywhere in the world with a sold-out, 9,500 capacity gig at Morrison , Colorado ’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre, have just released their latest video, It’s Working, another visual foray into the world of intriguing imagery.

MGMT album ‘Congratulations’ leaks, band forced to stream it 4 free on their website

’s globally anticipated album Congrats, Yall has finally leaked. After it leaked, they were forced to offer a ‘full album stream’ on their website.
Can’t believe another 2k10 heavy hitter finally arrived.

It seems like after this subpar product, might become the scapegoat of the mainstream indie rock era. A band who we can proudly say we turned our back on in order to stay authentic.

MGMT fan writes “MGMT” on her breasts on 4chan (NSFW)

In an effort to get message boarding bros to vote for in some meaningless poll, an indie music fan of the popular band promised to show off her alternative breasts to bros who were hanging out on 4chan.

Questionable Corner: Suckers

A couple of weeks ago

Suckers

started a month long residency at Pianos and we thought it would be great to promote their four July shows with a nice fun interview. Then life happened and we scored one last interview with Oxford Collapse and one with the far more attractive Those Darlins and suddenly Suckers were pushed to the back of the month.

Bonnaroo 09 Lineup Announced

bonnaroo

Following the rather lackluster Coachella announcement last week, comes Bonnaroo’s initial lineup for 2009.  At first glance, it’s quite the stellar lineup of bands, with the one glaring addition that jumped out at me being the Beastie Boys!  The one time I attempted to see them live was back in 2000, when they were set to tour with Rage Against the Machine, but was canceled because Mike D broke his arm or something like that.  Even now in 2009, they’re still up there (along with PJ Harvey) as a band I would still love to see.
