“Shredder” is kind of deceptively named. The word suggests flashy, long-winded guitar solos, but Nashville’s JEFF The Brotherhood doesn’t really ever deal with that kind of territory. Everything is edited down to the barest essentials here—a chugging guitar playing an undeniable hook, vocals that sound like they are coming out of a megaphone, and lyrics like, “Down by the sea in the ruins he’s gonna hit me in the head.” The song is off their album, We Are The Champions, out June 21st on the band’s own Infinity Cat label.

About halfway through "Bone Jam," under inches of geeky fuzz, Jake Orall asks, "How much money can we spend?" Obviously not much.
