Happened to come across “Listen To The Vacuum” from Memory Cassette this morning while listening to the latest mix currently up at Motel de Moka and instantly started to look around for more information about these guys. It’s one of those rare circumstances where you hear something and everything involved with it just seems to click and make perfect sense. I guess that’s the catch with listening to this sort of sleepy, lo-fi bedroom pop, as it seems to take hold in your thoughts and won’t seem to shake itself from your consciousness.

From what I’ve been able to gather about these guys, its membership primarily consists of members from both Hail Social and Weird Tapes, both from the Philadelphia area. At the moment, there are currently two EPs available titled Rewind While Sleeping and The Hiss We Missed, both of which are currently available as a free download on the We’re Tapes blog (a Weird Tapes/Memory Cassette blog). It would be an understatement to say that you should download these EPs immediately, but yeah, definitely go do that right now.
