Shit. So yesterday was the first day since Christmas that I missed my daily post. Working too much. The Salem Film Fest is going on and it’s awesome but quite time consuming. And literally, all I’ve been listening to is Dan Deacon’s new album, Bromst (out 3-24). I know I say things like, "It’s fucking amazing" a lot but fuck, man. Bromst is fucking amazing.
Just thinking about listening to Bromst gets me all happy and excited. It helps chill me out after a stressful day at work, it helps get me psyched for a shitty day at work, it helps me deal with pretty much everything. IT’S SOEPIC&BEAUTIFUL. I never in a million years thought a single record could be constantly exploding confetti but I guess Deacon was the man to do it. And the whole thing has this masterful flow so that you never realize the next song has come on. It all just melts together into one gorgeous giant. I’m pretty sure I’m not going to listen to anything else for the next couple of years.
