NT89 adds bass to Peter Bjorn and John, The Golden Filter
If you’ve stopped by Going Other Places within the last couple of days, you’ll remember the remix that The Golden Filter did for Peter Bjorn and John. Lay it Down was turned into a lovely disco track with the following description from my hand: “The disco sound is as sticky and infectious as ever with a beat that’s barely able to stand on it’s own legs pushing the track forward along with a variation over what seems to be The Golden Filter’s only string riff. Catchy as hell and something I could easily see myself dancing to on some distant rooftop while the sun rises.”
It wasn’t the most obvious choice for a remix for NT89 who also remixed Mind Dimension a while ago, but nevertheless the guy has dropped a new and heavy remix-remix. More bass, more dancefloor and more dance seems to bee the keywords for this one. It’s not even relevant to compare the two because of the completely different approaches, although this remix rather invites you to a rave than a late evening dance.
