C.U.T.S.

C.U.T.S
Genre: Punk / Electro / Rock
From: Bandung, Indonesia

Indonesian quartet C.U.T.S, which appears to be short for caustics.ultraist.totally.slice (nope me neither!) is the ‘other’ band of ykha, singer with Devil’s favourite Indonesian’s The Bohay’s.

Where the Bohay’s looked to New York and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for inspiration C.U.T.S are more European, subverting the mainstream with their immense, theatrical DIY electro punk a la Atari Teenage Riot and The Knife.

The demos on the band’s myspace site are raw and anarchic and full of future promise. It’s electroclash with the emphasis on the clash.
