My Old Kentucky Blog 2008 Holiday Interview Series : Ariel Pink + New Songs!

Despite not having released a new album, Ariel Pink kept plenty busy in 2008. With his fellow Haunted Graffiti’s, he toured all across the US with Chairlift, released Odditties Sodomies Vol. 1 - a collection of rare outtakes and unreleased songs, and began writing and recording songs for a new record that will be released in 2009. But luckily, you don’t have to wait until the new year to hear new material. Mexican Summer will release a single this month from Ariel and co. and you can hear both tracks right here, right now. And in the spirit of year-end lists, I will unabashedly admit that Can’t Hear My Eyes will easily go down as my favorite song of 2008. Pure pop delight.
