That Ghost

"Green, green grass and high white fences."

I’ve been pretty disillusioned with the lo-fi folkies as of late. Ever since Sam Beam and William Fitzsimmons had their relatively high-profile runs in the past couple of years (the following statement is not intended to directly denigrate either songwriter, for they are indeed both phenomenally talented), I’ve simply become a bit bored. With a bit of resolve, I’ve decided to jump back on the wagon. It’s new a day, I guess - California one-man band That Ghost has been able to hold my attention more than most, if not all, of his lo-fi counterparts. Although I myself know precious little about "Ryan" and his undertakings, he’s acquired a significant amount of press from some mainstay indie publications. His new disc, Young Fridays, is available now. Availability is limited, so your best bet to pick up a physical copy is from his site directly.
