You can tell it’s December because the Devil’s inbox is inundated with christmas themed tracks from covers of classics of yesteryear to originals hoping to be tomorrows high street festive muzak. The Raveonettes get in on the act with their Christmas-themed Wishing You A Rave Christmas. This is the final installment in the Danish duo’s four-part EP series, rounded out by September’s free Remixed EP, Sometimes They Drop By, and October’s Beauty Dies.
To celebrate the series’ conclusion (and, of course, the Holiday season), the band has offered one of the final short-player’s four dreamy Christmas numbers. ‘Come On Santa’ boasts vintage Raves tremolo guitars and the sort of bittersweet harmonies that won Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo so many accolades after the February release of Lust Lust Lust.
