The XX holds press conference 2 brag abt their huge award, doesn’t thank American blogs or Pitchfork

The XX won the Mercury Prize, basically making them Gods in Europe, the UK, and parts of the Third World. I think the Mercury Prize means that the government will purchase 500K copies of their albums to boost the music industry economy, so they are in a pretty good position. Can probably just go into any ‘pub’ in the UK, and point at people, and they will be forced to ‘give them a blow job.’ Must be mad sweet 2 be ‘legit rock stars.’

Seems like they had a press conference since they are so famous now. Tons of mainstream journalists asked them generic questions, and they remained ‘humble’ and ‘honored.’ They seem super famous, like they might be ‘leaving blog coverage behind’, and might give up on America to focus on places where people have British accents.

Soo weird to see this buzzband ‘evolve.’ Feel like without the American blog economy, they would be nowhere. Feeling pissed at them for not thanking me, the hypemachine, gorilla vs bear, pitchfork, and other American web presences.

So pissed at them. Wish they understood that they were ‘big in America’ first, then the UK saw how much buzz they were getting, then had to import them back into their own country. Wish they just said that the UK doesn’t really have a good music/mp3 blog infrastructure, and that they need to catch up with America. Do yall think that NME is a ‘legit tastemaking music magazine’?

Do yall h8 bands that are overhyped in the UK?
Is the XX about to become ‘the next Radiohead/Coldplay’ if they add enough arpeggiating piano riffs to their next album?

Also watched this video. It seems like a piece or something, but also might be a ‘trying too hard to be trendy’ video by some sort of alternative web media startup from the UK. Showcases the XX, and tons of other crappy UK bands.

Feels weird watching generic alt content. Maybe it is actually made by an American company, except they hired some1 British to make it sound more important/edgy.

Rlly pissed about this. Not even sure why I am blogging about ‘the Mercury Prize.’
Gonna give up on the XX. Gonna try as hard as I can to ‘boycott’ products from the UK.
Need to get back to our roots, support American products . Feeling ‘wronged.’ Feeling ‘jealous’ and ‘spiteful.’
Always thought that because I blogged about them so early, that they would ‘share profits with me’ in the event that they became millionaires, but here I am, just an American blogger on the other side of the world while these bros who I buzzed got more famous + successful than even I expected.

Do yall h8 the XX?
Does ‘success’ in the UK mean more than a 9.0+ on pitchfork?
Is ‘selling albums’ the only thing that matters?
Will u be ‘pissed off’ if the XX gets a Grammy?
Did American blogbuzz ‘create’ the XX, or UK hype?
Will the USA ‘give up’ on/boycott the XX and other UK products in 2k11?
Are yall tired of the global indie economy?
Will any great chillwavers come from the UK, or do they not have enough beaches + lakes + nostalgic images of youth to write chillwave anthems?
