Hold Your Horse Is - Rammin' It Home EP

YesYesYesYes. Fucking Yes. Forget all this review speak.. this band are rapidly approaching the throne of one of the best alternative groups around.

When we first reviewed them ages ago, there was a definite spark, but now they’ve blossomed into an incredibly tight, organised unit that has its own defined sound and place to be. I’m ridiculously excited about the way they’re heading, and will go on about them till my lungs are blue.. or something.

Hold Your Horse Is bring to mind all of the glorious bands of old such as Crackout, Rival Schools, thisGIRL, yourcodenameis:milo.. amongst others that have fallen by the way-side over the years, yet who have helped forge our alt-rock scene as we know it on the quiet; mixing it up with the out-and-out balls of our other favourites Dinosaur Pile Up to culminate in what has to be one of the most exciting ensembles I’ve come across in years. The ‘new favourite band’ tag is over-used, and in this case it’s not just a passing fancy; it’s here to stay.

Their new EP comes out on August 23rd via Big Scary Monsters, and you should definitely find it.

Hitting the road for a ridiculous length of time in September, we at Artrocker.com will be joining the illustrious trio for almost a week of their tour. If you’re going to any of the dates that are marked below give us a shout. If you’re not going to any of them, then why the fuck not? You’re seriously missing out. Get a grip. It’s not as if it’s expensive.

We won’t say much more about them till we give them the attention they deserve. Just remember where you heard of them first. Aye. Who knows.. we might even swing more dates on their bus to pester them with. The tour’s certainly big enough. Bloody hell. Do these guys sleep?
