We reviewed their debut album back in August, and now they’ve given us their picks. Since they couldn’t agree collectively, we have some from each band member. Exciting.
Allan – Guitar
Mew
Why? New album “No More Stories / Are Told Today / I’m Sorry / They Washed Away // No More Stories / The World Is Grey / I’m Tired / Let’s Wash Away.” 70 listens in is still revealing new things.
Moderat

Why? The combination of 3 artists combining forces to make an album that’s truly special.
Stef – Bass
Pixies
Why? Their triumphant return at Secc this year earmarked 20 years since their breakthrough album “Doolittle”.
The Cribs

Why? Releasing another astounding album and giving old man ‘Marr’ a job
Keef – Guitar
Faith No More

Why? Finally getting to see a band I regard so highly and they completely rocked it.
Alice In Chains
Why? They have overcome such adversity and yet still managed to produce a fantastic new album.
Dunc – Drums
The Knife

Why? They aren’t afraid of being different and pushing boundaries whilst maintaining a weird pop appeal.
Kylesa
Why? Two drummers for a start, a chick that can howl like nothing else and dirty heavy Sabbath riffs.
YAK – Band
Depeche Mode
Why? Almost 30 years on and they continue to play for the right reasons plus we’re going to see them in December and we can’t wait!
The Lonely Island

Why? We know some people are already sick of it but when Incredibad came out the quality of the album tracks like ‘I’m On A Boat’ and “Sax Man” mixed with brilliantly funny comedy interludes like “normal guy” and “We Like Sportz” made us wet ourselves with laughter. A great touring soundtrack.
