PICTURESHOW: THE INCONSOLABLES

THE INCONSOLABLES PICTURESHOW: OBJECTS OF OUR AFFECTION 1. ED (PICTURED BELOW) - Heinrich, whom I love like a stuffed son. - A melodica from a Prague junk shop. Smells a little, but goes like a whippet. - Lolita, the jewel of American fiction. - Roland Topor’s stirring and wonderful The Tenant. - Burning Bridges by The Cravats, one of the greatest bands that ever lived. Possibly even greater than The Inconsolables. Possibly. - After Hours - Scorcese’s Kafka-esque journey through darkest Manhattan. Fabulous.

2. VARRICK - Books! Old and new. - Black shades. These are from NYC, my hometown. I never leave home without them in case I wake up somewhere unexpectedly sunny. - I like toys. This one is a metal fish that eats a smaller metal fish. - A picture of one of my tiny mice.
Varrick
3. RIC - I like guitars and eyeliner, though they of course are no substitute for wine and kebabs.
Ric
4. SEB -Ticket machine. As a child, I wanted to be a bus conductor, travelling the mighty city on a big red bus. But then they got rid of them all, so I decided to be in a pop group instead. - Book: The Borribles, by Michael De Larrabeiti. In which a tribe of feral kids embark on an odyssey to Wimbledon to exterminate the Wombles. I love this book.

5. CAM - Cam is playing DLR. Hey hey, fucking party.
