ARTROCKER RATING:

lr rockets - prank caller

LR Rockets exude the kind of old school rock n roll campness that Phil Cornwell mimics perfectly as Mick Jagger on Stella Street. They’re all rakish cravats and melodrama.
Prank Caller’ is I think their second single. It’s in the same kind of vein as their debut ‘London Girls’ but there’s less histrionics and more late 70s power pop perfection. It’s like The Jags meets Roxy Music meets the Buzzcocks. Great vocals in the chorus too - deserves to be a big hit. You can watch the video on You Tube. It’s directed by Sami Absamura and features the band as hard boiled Mike Hammer style detectives, tracking down their phone abusing alter egos. The single itself is released at the end of April.

    An anthem for summer!

    Good stuff...

Great work. The site has so much potential now. This is clever Dave! You're clever Dave!

This is a good song too. Those LR Rockets with their shapes and eye patches! What's not to love about that?
