We've had Die Die Die and The Mint Chicks but the scene just keeps surprising. Now the droning kraut artrock of Collapsing Cities hits UK shores. Embarking on UK dates with Black Kids and Late of The Pier they are in for a good time - not least at Brighton's Great Escape festival. Not as frantic or as abrasive as the above mentioned noise-rockers there are even shades of the sadly forgotten Flying Nun Records output and classic indie-pop of The Chills. An album is recorded and and already out in New Zealand but first comes a UK debut single 'Fear of Opening My Mouth' with ultra hip and young independent 'Way Out West Records' (Late of The Pier, Cajun Dance Party etc).

Abrasive twin guitar sounds rooted in US hardcore and New York art-dance funk-punk of Rapture and Radio 4. A split 7" under their belts already with fellow noise-niks Rolo Tomassi points the way but Midlands five-piece are determined to get your feet moving with a flaring hi-hat and funked-up bass groove. A wining John Lydon-esque vocals is does just the job as the band stabs and slices through brittle grooves. New single 'Wolfgang Bang' is just about to be released on TWO hip labels, Holy Roar and Tough Love. Good thing or not, they now count The Klaxons amongst their confirmed fans.

Having already created a stir with their limited edition debut single 'Manga Girl' in November 2007, Ipswich 5 piece, Rosalita have now been signed up by Taste Media. Taste release Rosalita's first EP 'What Would Your Mother Say?' on limited edition 7" and download on May 8th to coincide with their 23-date national tour. Theirs is a sound that draws on and cross-pollinates Punk, Pop, New Wave, Ska and Electro, there's no name for it - yet - but a leaner, meaner, younger British Rapture is not a million miles away. Posturing, prancing and preening... their two and three-minute synthbuzz spurts sound like plinky-plonk electropop but with punk/new wave guitars blasting over the top. "The Young Knives meet Joy Division in a new rave soup! Very Shit Disco like and maybe a slither of Calvin Harris disco fun."
