Bands to Watch...or Listen, rather

I’ve been hearing a lot of amazing new bands lately. Unfortunately, all I have are EPs of these fresh, new artists. And even though each one probably deserves it’s own full review, I decided to just briefly talk about each one. I promise to review any full lengths these bands might put out in the future.

New Look - Make It Over

New Look
Married duo, Adam Pavao and Sarah Ruba, kick out the disco-influenced slow jams and make them sound really, really really cool.

The Big Pink - Too Young to Love

The Big Pink
The name Big Pink either makes me think of some thing cute, soft and cuddly…or something monstrous, gooey and quite possibly from another planet. This band falls into the latter category.

The Bitters - Warrior

The Bitters
Fuzzy garage revival is still in full swing. The Bitters bring a punkier attitude to this popular microtrend.

Best Coast - The Sun Was High (So Was I)

Girls - Hellhole Ratrace

Girls
We all know that bands named after the female gender are quickly replacing bands named after animals (ie. Parenthetical Girls, Women, Girl Talk, Dum Dum Girls, and so forth), but please make room in your heart for this San Fran based sensitive garage rock group.

Get Back Guinozzi! - Carpet Madness

Get Back Guinozzi!
Now for some eccentric and extremely colorful. It’s like eating pop rocks with soda…
