Holy State vinyl double whammy

Holy State flyin the flannel, pic by Paul J Crav

Holy State play awesome Hot Snakes / Fugazi style taut rock n roll with no punches pulled. It’s uncompromising Dischord style stuff that’s a refreshing slap in the face to knock all of that indie dross out of your ear holes. Their feisty tunes have caught the attention of no less than two premium vinyl pushing record companies, who are including them on some upcoming releases you will want to own.

The ever excellent Dance to the Radio are featuring Holy State’s Jagged Lines track on the second in their series of 4 x 12 releases. You can order it here.

And if that’s not enough for you, Holy Roar records are putting out a 10 inch record featuring Anechoic Chamber Maid. Infact, it’s a combo of Holy Roar and Big Scary Monsters - a union appropriately described by Holy State as a ‘behemoth force’. The record also features tunes from Brontide, The Tupolev Ghost and Shapes. Order that beast here.

You can hear previews of both tracks on the Holy State myspace site

And because we like you so much, we’ve blagged an mp3 of Solid State Messiah (vs The Valve Viking).

Download it here.

Who is the Valve Viking? That’s what I’d like to know. Answers on a postcard to Dave.
