Black Sabbath - new old albums!

Two seminal Black Sabbath albums are getting revamped and re-released this week.  If you don’t already own the originals, then you should treat yourself to the polished up and expanded versions of Masters of Reality and Black Sabbath.  Slap them on your stereo, turn it up, turn out the lights and smoke a large and suspicious cigarette.  That’s my advice.

Masters of Reality is my favourite of the two, so I’m particularly interested in the previously unreleased studio track Weevil Woman.  What’s that about? Didn’t Ronnie Dio do a track called Evil Woman?  Or was it called Lady Evil?  Did the Sabbs perform some dark ritual to go forward in time, hear that track, and then go back to 1971 to record a piss take of it?  I think that’s probably the most likely explanation.

There’s also an alternate version of Sweet Leaf with different lyrics.  That song has one of the best riffs of all time.

Both re-releases also have the obligatory chunky booklets with photos and whatnot.

More info here!  www.black-sabbath.com. Actually, that was the link I was given, but I can’t find much about the re-releases there. I’ll update when I find out more.

And we now finally have an excuse to post this too:
