Grassroutes Unsigned Festival

Grassroutes Unsigned was set up in 2007 by Stephen Burn. This Festival is a showcase to help the unsigned music scene here in the North East. There are future events lined up to give the unsigned scene a platform and will be based in Durham. It will bring some of the biggest names from the music scene along the way to help promote the region, and will give the local bands the opportunity to perform at venues across the country.

I am proud to announance that I am officially working in association with "Love Music Hate Racism" and
"Bollocks to Poverty"

There will be promoters and management companies available on the day’s to give seminar’s/workshops to help the bands on making the most of there talents.

I’m still looking for people to be part of the festival whether you’re a Record Company, Promoter, Management Company, Photographer, or Journalist and want to be involved in the promotion of the North East music scene.

I’m looking to give local people the opportunity to put there skills to use, whether you’re a budding journalist or a first class promoter and need a new challenge or if you want to get involved in the music scene but don’t know where to start I want to hear from you. Maybe your a clothes designer or make beer in your shed and want somewhere to promote your business this is the place and I want to hear from you or if you know of anyone let them know, anything at all.

I have more than enough bands now but feel free to get in touch if you want to help out or be considered for future presentations. I’m doing this for the love not the money and any proceeds made from this will be put back into the music scene through recording time, PR, tour arrangements etc etc… As it will be a non profit event I would appreciate if anyone taking part would understand that I would not be able to pay them for there services.
