MINNAARS profile

They're a really new band from Leicester. I was actually at this band's first ever gig because I was down in Leicester watching a band called Cats and Cats and Cats who I might be doing some recording stuff with, and this band had put the gig on. They played first and really impressed me, especially for a debut gig.

It's got some of that Foals dancey thing, with spidery guitars. But they're less dreamy and maybe a bit more direct. There's a lot more sections to the songs than what you have with Foals - they go off in a lot more different directions rather than staying the same throughout.

They only played four songs that night because of technical problems. But you didn't notice the problems really - it was the sign of a band who knew what they were doing. So they really impressed me, and I'm recording their EP soon.
