Songs for Lovvers lovers - new artrocker.com mp3 compilation

You’re looking forward to The Lovvers’ debut album right? Of course you are, because they’re great.

While you’re waiting for it to hit the shelves, why not have a listen to some bands of a similar ilk?

I’ve put a compilation together of tracks by groups that either The Lovvers have said are a direct influence (like The Real Kids) or that I think sound a bit like them (like The Exploding Hearts).

Whether you agree there’s a shared sound here or not, it’s a good excuse to listen to some great pop punk old and new.

In the words of The Descendents, enjoy!

And of course, check out all these bands properly, buy their stuff. Do some googling. Be a sport.  A lot of these bands have their albums available on emusic, which would be a good starting point.  Some of them I have lovingly ripped from vinyl, hence the crackles.  Embrace the crackle at your local second hand record dealer.

If you’re the owner and want me to remove any of these tracks, email me and I’ll whip them out pronto.
