The Dollymops

Ric Birtill of The Dollymops sings in a high voice. A very high voice in fact. It’s kind of like vocal feedback and Dollymops records should come with a warning not to play if you have any dogs in the house.

It works perfectly though. You get the impression that Ric sings like that because he’s excited. He can’t contain himself. He’s whipped up into a high pitched frenzy by the manic interdimensional punk rock of his band mates.

Have a listen to the excellent ‘There’s a Car Crash Between Us’ and there’s a high likelihood you’ll get excited too.
