Excellent Tip Toe Records compilation - launch party on 25th May

Tip Toe Records are releasing an excellent limited edition CD compilation, with only 200 copies being pressed. It’s got a fetching brown cardboard sleeve and is jam packed with indie goodness. If there aren’t at least 200 tasteful people in the country willing to purchase a copy, then we should all give up now.

There are 16 bands featured and it’s a pleasingly ecclectic jumble, swinging from the Malkmus style indie pop of Bear Driver to the alt.country stomp of the Old Romantic Killers Band and Fists. Infact, I’d argue it’s worth getting for the excellent Fists track alone - a band who deserve to be huge this year.

Charcoal fans should get particularly excited about the launch party, which is on the 25th May at the Windmill in Brixton. As well as live performances from some of the bands on the comp - there’s a free BBQ to boot.
