There’s a new track from Women floating around, as posted on Gorilla vs Bear. It’s kind of sterile and they sound bored. Maybe it’s the sound of a band about to give up - Pitchfork reported about them scrapping on stage recently.
According to this, Sweden’s The Knife will post new material to Soundcloud "in the coming days," so keep an eye out for that. The new material may or may not be from their new collaboration with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock, the "Darwin-inspired electro-opera" Tomorrow, In a Year (preview that here). ****** elsewhere: Another ‘heavy pop’ demo from secretive Manchester band WU LYF: still…

Fun Fun Fun Fest has announced a few more additions to its already stellar 2009 lineup, including both Alan Palomo-helmed projects (Neon Indian + VEGA), Fucked Up, Harlem, Yeasayer, Kid Sister, and more. The first mp3 from Kurt Vile’s forthcoming Matador debut, Childish Prodigy:
We mentioned the new Ducktails/Julian Lynch split 7" the other day, and today the Underwater Peoples bros sent over the Richard Law videos featured on the accompanying DVD:
