Crocodiles Latest News

Dum Dum Girls perform "Hey Sis" at their first ever live show, yesterday afternoon at the Captured Tracks/Woodsist Festival in Brooklyn. Featuring Frankie Rose (Crystal Stilts, ex-Vivian Girls) on drums, Mike Sniper (Blank Dogs) on bass, and Brandon Welchez (Crocodiles) on guitar:
Congratulations goes out to our bro-dudes MALE BONDING for signing to SUB POP. They are a fucking amazing band who slay way hard live. Anyways high five to them. Also our good pals PENS have a sweet’n’trippy new video. They’re also about to embark on a US tour with Graffiti Island and Crocodiles. I am insanely jealous, but very happy for them. Exciting times.

Crocodiles MP3s

Words: Kieran Toms Crocodiles - ‘Sleep Forever’ (Release: 13 September) ‘Sleep Forever’ starts rather encouragingly, with opener ‘Mirrors’ beginning with a big krautrock rhythm and some exciting swirling guitars that are seemingly the beginning of a crescendo that will lead to something wondrously epic. Despite this early promise, nothing wondrous...
San Diego’s Crocodiles are about to release their debut album, Summer Of Hate on Fat Possum, and are out on a pretty extensive U.S. tour right now to promote it. The band draws comparisons to Jesus and Mary Chain, Velvet Underground, Spacemen 3 and contemporaries like Dum Dum Girls, Crystal Stilts and Wavves. We’ve pretty much had the album on repeat today. A lot of this...

He and integral Crocs Brandon Welchez and Charles Rowell decamped to a home studio in the Joshua Tree desert, where they set about building the droney, nebulous...
Sam posted Crocodiles’ "Neon Jesus" back in August. That dude really knows what he’s talking about. In hopes that you might be inspired to check them out in Austin, I’m sharing two outstanding tracks from their forthcoming LP Summer of Hate. Why? Well for starters, you won’t hear a better song this year than "I Wanna Kill." You won’t. I realize...

Now with the long playing Summer of Hate they expand on their almost droney-noise/pop with nine lo-fi pop/punk songs in the vein of a dodgier Talking Heads or sewer-...
